Frequently Asked Questions
Q.   What do you need to change my mailing address?
A.   We need address changes in writing.  It can be sent to our mailing
      address, faxed or e-mailed.

Q.   When can I expect to receive a royalty check?
A.   Checks are issued on the 20th of each month for production that was
       hauled the previous month.

Q.   Why didn't I receive a check this month when another owner in the same
       lease did?
A.   There could be several reasons, but the most common is that one owner
had requested their funds be released when they reached $25, but the
other did not.  Unless you request that we release your check when it
totals $25, it will not be issued until it reaches $100 or the end of the year,
      whichever comes first.

Q.   How do you determine your crude oil prices?
A.   Our prices are based on Plains Marketing's posting for North Texas Sweet
Crude.  If the corrected gravity is below 40, there is a deduction of .02 per
bbl.  Plains' postings can be seen by clicking on the Crude Oil Price
      Bulletins at

Q.   What documents do you need to change the ownership of an interest
       to/from my name?
A.   If the interest was sold, we need a copy of the Mineral Deed after it is filed
with the County Clerk's office in whatever county the lease is located in.  If
the previous owner is deceased and left a Will, we need a copy of the
Probate Order and the Will after they've been filed of record in the county
the lease is located in.  If the previous owner is deceased and did not
leave a Will or did leave a Will but it will not be probated,  we need a copy
of the Death Certificate and an Affidavit of Heirship after it has been filed
of record in the county the lease is located in.
